What is your role for the team?
My role is primarily maintaining sponsor relationships, cultivating new ones and handling day-to-day operations.
What do you consider your strengths as a team boss?
The ability to watch others endure hours of suffering while seated comfortably in a team car.
What is your business/professional background?
I own and operate Cycle Sports, in Oakland California, a bike shop which caters to competitive and recreational cyclists.
What made you decide to get involved with professional cycling?
I wanted to create and operate a professional team as a means to promote the store and offer something to my customers which other stores can't. I wanted the everyday cyclist to rub elbows with the elite riders in the U.S. ·kind of like having a tennis fan play tennis with Andre Agassi.
Have you ever competed as a racer? If so, please list teams, years and any results.
I ride for fitness and pleasure.
What would you consider your finest moment on the bike?
Too many awesome moments to pick... but sneaking out on many a lunch ride for an extra hour always seems to top the list.
What are your interests outside of cycling?
Spending time with the family, boating and just about every water sport you can imagine.

Shrek, The Usual Suspects, Bond movies
